Imogene Hardgrave
 March 28, 1929 ~ October 4, 2024

Imogene Hardgrave, 95, of Herculaneum, Missouri passed away, October 4, 2024 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo, Illinois. She was born March 28, 1929 in Ellington, Missouri to the late Herbert Jackson and Clara (Casey) Phelps.

Imogene was very talented. She was a home maker, an amazing seamstress, artist, was involved in Boy Scouts, Mothers Club, ladies church groups, and the quilt guild. Imogene and Orlan square danced from 1973 till 1999. For 20 years they would attend the National Square Dance Convention traveling to a different state every year. She was a charter member of the Jefferson County Square Dance Club. Some of the fondest memories the family had made were at their cabin at the Current River where they would play music, dance and enjoy the company of family and friends.

On, January 29, 1950, Imogene married Orlan Fay Hardgrave. This marriage produced two children Roy (Jane) Dale Hardgrave of Festus, Missouri and Deanna Lynn Hardgrave of Columbia, Illinois. Imogene and Orlan were the perfect couple, always about family, friends, enjoying life and helping everyone. In January 2021 they celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Along with her parents, Imogene was proceeded in death by her husband, Orlan Fay Hardgrave, her brother, Charles Elmo Phelps, her sister-in-law, Alma Phelps, her brother-in-law, Billy Ray Roderman, and her granddaughter, Emily Marie (Kanta) Webb.

Surviving are sister, Nola Jean Marie Roderman of Ellington, Missouri, her eleven grandchildren, Bryan (the late Emily) Webb, Raechel (Geoff) Ingrum, Abigail (Mark) Click, Brian (Nikki) Vinyard, Kevin (Sarah) Vinyard, and Carmen Vinyard, her twenty one great-grandchildren, Samuel, Isaac, Olivia, Audrey, Levi, and Josiah Webb, Lily (Landon) Power, Elijah, Ezekiel, and Malachi Ingrum, Lukas, Zachary, and Cooper Click, Christian, Thomas, Marcus, Kyle, Brandon, Gabriella Vinyard and Hunter Gould, numerous nieces, nephews, beloved family and friends.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 5:00pm, at Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri, with Wayne Roderman officiating. Interment will be Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:45am in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

Friends will be received Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and an additional visitation will be held after the services, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus, Missouri.
